Kephren is a textile artist, writer, editor, and photographer, with ten years of experience as a freelance technical writer and editor in the hand-knitting industry. Her current work focuses on creating a sustainable secondhand and handmade wardrobe, pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing and Environment at Iowa State Univerand writing a memoir about how her creative practice has helped her to manage PTSD and depression.
Kephren’s work explores the connections between sustainability and excess, challenges assumptions about fashion and necessity, and blurs the line between art and craft.
